The innovation hub, situated in refurbished lavatories on the corner of Spindleberry common has been rebranded “The Spindleberry Centre for Disruptive Excellence” and features a state-of-the-art beanbag zone, a broken 3D printer, and inspirational quotes printed on the remaining intact urinal dividers.

The newly appointed head of innovation Peter Sevenacre, who has spent the last 23 years in various administrative roles since graduating with a BA in English Literature, is said to bring a “wealth of institutional knowledge” to the role; chiefly his ability to operate the office photocopier without supervision.

Sources close to the council praised Peter’s “forward-thinking” approach, noting that he once suggested moving the biscuit tin closer to the kettle to save time
