Startup Replaces HR With Slackbot
The well-known silicone valley Startup 'JuicyBytes' surprised nobody recently, when it decided to sack its head of HR and replace them with a Slackbot.
Speaking on the matter. Disruptor In Chief Otis Spankleton said;
"So far its working out really well. I am all about cutting costs. Particularly as my bonus is riding on these cutbacks, and papas got his eye on a new Tesla"
The Slackbot uses a state-of-the-art AI model trained on the internet. A place well known for its restrained, considered and equitable approach to discourse.
Perhaps then it should be no surprise, that when JuicyBytes only female member of staff, Penelope Primrose, logged on to report sexual harassment, the bot told her 'Calm down sweetheart. You look so ugly when you frown' and refused to escalate any further.
Spankleton, pressed on the issue by your correspondent, stated:
“Clearly it’s doing an impressive job. Sexual harassment doesn’t exist in tech and it’s best to nip allegation like these in bud before they snowball. Nobody wants a promising young engineer to have his career ruined by spurious allegations”
